Girls Finish 2nd, Boys 3rd at St. Francis!

On what turned out to be a beautiful spring evening for a track meet Friday night, the Sentinels traveled to St. Francis for the second annual Spartan Invitational. At St. Francis, there were a ton of great performances that earned the Sentinels a ton of individual accolades.

Here are some of the highlights:

4x800 relay:

• Peyton Nash (2:35.0); Frankie Fabry (2:56.0); Lily Arndt (2:54.9); and Halle Nash (2:34.5) combined to run 11:00.4 to take home the win in the Varsity girls race
• Jake Juska (2:26.4); Tom Dea (2:47.7); Ben Padgitt (2:51.3); and Jake Dooley (2:37.0) combined to finish 3rd in the JV Boys race
• Leo Foertsch (2:14.8); BJ Zakhem (2:18.3); Jasper Requiron (2:14.8); and Paul Gordon (2:11.7) combined to finish 3rd in the Varsity Boys race

4x100 relay:

• Alicia Orozco, Bayan Daoud, Saleena Zakhem and Emilia Maslany finished 4th in the Varsity girls race in a time of 60.6
• Jaden Phelps, Jaden West, TJ Bueser, and Chris Doll finished 2nd in the JV Boys race in a time of 49.3
• Marquis Thomas, Kyle Casper, Grant Wallin, and Dimitrios Latsonas finished 2nd in the Varsity Boys race in a time of 46.3

3200 run:

Boys:

• Sam Asa finished 3rd in 11:55.3
• Luke Abbatacola finished 5th in 12:23.0

Girls:

• Hannah Abbatacola finished 3rd in 14:09.7
• Brittany Eiermann finished 4th in 14:22.8

100/110 hurdles:

 

Boys: Kyle Casper won in a time of 16.2

 

Girls: Annie Carlson won in a time of 16.2

 

100 dash:

 

Boys:

 

• Marquis Thomas qualified to finals, where he finished 3rd in a time of 11.7
• Anthony Lischalk also qualified to finals, where he finished 5th in a time of 11.8

 

Girls:

• Alicia Orozco ran a time of 15.0 in prelims
• Aisha Pettigrew ran a time of 15.7 in prelims

 

800 run:

 

Boys:

 

• Leo Foertsch finished 4th in a time of 2:14.7
• Jake Dooley ran a time of 2:33.5 to finish 6th

 

Girls:

 

• Halle Nash won the 800 in a time of 2:40.8

 

4x200 relay:

• Alicia Orozco, Bayan Daoud, Saleena Zakhem, and Emilia Maslany finished 4th in a time of 2:09.4 in the Varsity Girls race
• Jaden Phelps, Jaden West, TJ Bueser, and Ishmay Kone finished 2nd in the JV Boys race with a time of 1:44.5
• Although disqualified after Anthony Lischalk had a nasty fall during the first exchange, the Varsity Boys 4x200 nearly caught the third place team in a time of 1:43.4

400 dash:

 

Boys:

• BJ Zakhem finished 5th in 57.4

 

Girls:

 

• Frankie Fabry finished 2nd in 70.3

 

300 hurdles:

 

Boys:

 

• Kyle Casper finished 2nd in a time of 42.0
• Ryan Pleva finished 6th in a time of 49.3

 

Girls:

 

• Annie Carlson won in a time of 46.7

 

1600 run:

 

Boys:

 

• Paul Gordon finished 2nd in a time of 4:55.6
• Jasper Requiron finished 4th in a time of 4:58.3

 

Girls:

 

• Peyton Nash finished 2nd in a time of 5:50.4
• Lily Arndt finished 4th in a time of 6:18.1

Boys:

• Dimitrios qualified to finals, where he finished 2nd in a time of 23.4

 

Girls:

 

• Alicia Orozco ran a time of 30.8 in prelims
• Aisha Pettigrew ran a time of 36.6 in prelims

 

4x400 relay:

• Peyton Nash (68.3), Frankie Fabry (70.1), Emilia Maslany (70.2), and Halle Nash (68.0) won the Varsity Girls race in a time of 4:36.5
• Chris Doll (57.0), Ryan Pleva (61.0), Jasper Requiron (57.8), and Ishmay Kone (58.4) won the JV Boys race in a time of 3:54.3
• BJ Zakhem (56.6), Leo Foertsch (57.2), Grant Wallin (56.4), and Kyle Casper (52.8) finished 2nd in the Varsity Boys race in a time of 3:42.9
