Girls Kick Off Season at Downers Grove South With a Boatload of PRs

Coach Fischer challenged the ladies to set some indoor PRs in our debut meet at Downers Grove South on Saturday, promising ice cream to the entire team if more than half the ladies set a PR. The ladies did that and more.

Some fast stats from DGS (this post will be updated later):

• Kayla Weatherlydestroyed her own indoor shot put record by nearly 3 feet, throwing 35' 7" to put her previous school record of 32' 11" in the shredder.
• Bayan Daoud set an indoor PR in the 55 dash with 8.76
• Halle Nash set an indoor open 800 PR of 2:41.8
• Peyton Nash also set an indoor open 800 PR of 2:42.6
• Lily Arndt also set an indoor open 800 PR of 2:53.8
• Frankie Fabry, in her first track meet ever, ran 3:00.5 in the open 800
• Brittany Eiermann destroyed her previous indoor PR by over 30 seconds, running 6:31.1
• Hannah Abbatacola also made a strong indoor season debut in the 1600, running 6:40.2
