Girls Place 3rd at Sectional, Qualify 6 to State in 6 Events!

First, apologies for not keeping up with the meet recaps during track season. Things got away from me! I'll try and do my best in 2016 to stay on top of the meets. Sorry! -- Coach Dunne

Anyway, this will be short... congratulations to our six ladies who qualified to state in six different events -- five individual events and one relay!

Field Events:

• Discus: Kayla Weatherly, with a throw of 105-8
• Triple Jump: Annie Carlson, with a jump of 35-6

Track Events:

• 4x800 relay: Peyton Nash (2:31.0), Lisa Niemiec (2:36.2), Lily Arndt (2:44.7), and Halle Nash (2:31.0) for 10:23.14
• 100 hurdles: Annie Carlson, SECTIONAL CHAMPION, with a time of 15.75
• 300 hurdles: Annie Carlson, SECTIONAL CHAMPION, with a time of 45.05
• 200 dash: Annie Carlson, with a time of 25.94

We will post further information for the state preliminary meet next Thursday at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois.
