Season Results in Database [Last Updated 9/28]

Final update, September 28, 2014:

Hello, everyone...

This summer, I took on the task of entering our entire program history into the database feature on our website. This project started in early June, and I just finished it tonight. Most of the project was done before the season began, but I was missing three years (1993, 1995, and 2007) and hadn't had a chance to enter them until this month with school starting and my schedule becoming absolutely crazy busy. That said, I am happy to say that every cross country meet that Westmont has ever run in between September 2, 1977 through the Charger Classic yesterday is now in our database, with only a rare few exceptions. Literally the entire history of Westmont Cross Country is now on this database. It's pretty cool.

Those of you who have gotten to know me over the years (fellow classmates, alumni, etc.), you know that I am a stats nerd and a sports fanatic, and a history buff. Combine those three things, and this project was a dream come true. I absolutely loved doing it. It was an absolute joy to come across legendary names and times (like two-time state champion Chris Bailey's 14:55 in 1993 and 14:52 in 1994 at state) and teams (like the great girls teams of the early 1990s) from the old yearbooks and to enter the results of my own classmates and fellow alumni since I became manager of the cross country team when I was in high school from the past several years into this database. Maybe next summer, if we get our track and field program onto this website as well, then maybe my project will be to enter old track and field results. We'll see.

Anyway, over the summer I created this news post, and updated it periodically as I was working through this project to provide my thoughts and notes that I wanted to share as I was working through this project. Apologies in advance for the many soccer references--like much of the rest of the country, I'd caught World Cup fever at the time.

I hope that you enjoy the features of the database as much as I did creating it!

8/4 Update:

Just a very short update to say that each season is now linked to its database set. For instance, if you were to click on 1979, it would take you to the database and list all of last year's results in the order of each meet, starting with the away meet versus Montini on September 5, 1979.

Enjoy!

Have a great afternoon!

Coach Dunne

7/30 Update:

Today, I was able to finish the last two yearbooks that I have in my possession: 1998 (a special season for the boys team, earning their first state trophy in school history) and 1999.

There's just a couple of notes on meets: The Conference meet had a 2.34 mile course (how's that for exact?) so that's listed as 2.25 miles for the time being. There's also a 1999 meet with the distance listed as 2.2 miles, which I also listed as 2.25 miles.

The final totals of 34 seasons of Westmont Cross Country so far: 550 meets and 7,694 results. I would expect that number to pass 8,000 once I'm able to get 1993, 1995 and 2007 on here. Quite a volume of results we've compiled over the years.

A side note... in the 1984 yearbook, there's an early list of four-year varsity letter winners. The earliest year listed included in the four years is 1975, for three runners (Those lucky three were Todd Hrubes, Phil Lubeck, and Ted Mattox). I wonder if I could find the 1975 and 1976 seasons somewhere, if those results were kept. That would be something, wouldn't it?

Can you tell I'm a history buff? :)

Have a great evening! Much, much more to come as the season begins two weeks from today.

Coach Dunne

7/29 Update:

This'll be a long update. So, please bear with me.

Today was another of those days where I've had the time to myself to sit down and power through this. Today, I got 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1996, and 1997 all into the database. Again, 1993 and 1995 are currently MIA, but I'm sure I'll get my hands on those in the next couple of days.

Here's one meet of particular note that that I wanted to throw in, and that is the 1991 Benet Invitational. That one, quite frankly, was a weird meet. The girls ran a 2.35 mile course (I have listed the results as 2.25 for now), and the boys ran a 3.2 mile course. Don't think I've ever seen that, to be honest. I listed the boys results as a 5k. Both of those are closest to the actual distances until I can properly adjust them. The other one from 1991 is the Oregon Sectional, which featured a 2.05 mile course for the girls. I've listed that one under the 2 Mile for the time being.

Then, in 1992, the boys times are extremely quick, which makes me think they reverted back to 2.85 miles for the 1992 edition. The 1994 edition of the Mane Event had the Frosh-Soph and Girls Varsity races at 2.3 miles. The same goes for the 1994 Conference championship.

Basically, anything 2.3 or 2.35 miles, I've listed under 2.25 miles for the time being.

I also didn't include the Plainfield Frosh-Soph boys race from 1992.  Here's why: Although the course is listed as being 2.25 miles, which is available in the admin control panel, but I'm certain that the race wasn't even 2 miles long, as the winning time is listed as 9:17, with the course record listed as 12:49. If you'll forgive me, but to put it in perspective, the 2007 Class 3A state champion, Chris Derrick, passed the 2 mile mark in 9:16 at the State meet en route to his near-record 13:52.

As a result, I think it is likely that the race was shortened to somewhere between 1.5 to 1.9 miles given that the weather description in the yearbook is "Sunny, humid, 80s", which would certainly be a good reason to shorten a race.

The 1991 season saw the girls team finish 6th in the first-ever team appearance at Sectional, with Julie Arseneau qualifying to state on the strength of her fourth place finish at the Sectional. She would then take 22nd place at the 1991 Class A State meet to earn the first All-State honors for any athlete in Westmont Cross Country history. That was a sign of great things to come for the girls program between 1992 and 1994.

At the beginning of the 1992 season, the Westmont home course was changed from its 1983 layout, to what I believe is the current course that continues to be run to this day, at least for the 3.0 mile version. The girls course distance remained at 2.0 miles until 1997. From 1998 to 2001, the girls course was 2.5 miles in accordance with IHSA regulations. Since 2002, both the girls and boys have run the 3.0 course. From 1992 to 1997, the girls would complete two loops of the current layout. From 1998 to 2001, the girls would again complete two full loops, but then on their third loop instead of going into the pond, they would turn behind the football field bleachers and run along that until they reached the batting cages by the tennis court, and then would complete the remainder of the course from there.

In terms of state meet finish places, 1994 still remains as the greatest season in Westmont Cross Country history. The girls finished as State Runner-Up to earn their second consecutive state trophy. They finished in State Third Place the previous year. The boys team took fourth at State, led by defending state champion Chris Bailey repeating as state champion in 14:52 (he won his first state title in 1993 in 14:55). These years laid the groundwork for the continued success that Westmont Cross Country has had over the last twenty years.

Also, from 1994: There is a home meet versus Walther Lutheran that did not take place on September 6. My best guess is that it was canceled, probably due to weather.

From 1996: An away meet on September 10 saw the varsity girls and boys Frosh-Soph teams running 2.6 miles. In the database, they are listed as 2.5 miles for the time being. In addition, some of the boys varsity runners do not have places at that same meet for whatever reason it may be. For the sake of consistency, I put all the boys varsity in at 2.9 miles with their actual or adjusted times.

Also, the Benet Invitational that year had the Varsity girls at 2.2 miles. In this case, I moved up and put them under 2.25 miles until I can get a 2.2 mile category created.

A final highlight from 1996: The Frosh-Soph Boys were Conference Champions that year!

From 1997, the Kaneland Invitational was 2.3 miles for all races, except boys varsity. As I mentioned, all races that are 2.3 miles are in the database as 2.25 miles for the time being.

Have a great evening!

Coach Dunne

7/28 Update:

I had a day completely to myself to work on this. As a result, I was able to add the 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, and 1988 seasons today. I'm amazed at how much work I got done! Nearly all of of the results are in for each of those seasons. The one exception is the Manteno Invitational that was run in 1983. In the yearbooks, they identify the top 25 finishers, but then only list times for places 26 and higher with no names. So, if a runner finishes in the top 25 at the Manteno Invitational, they're listed in the results accordingly, but if they're 26th or higher, they are not. This is also the case for the 1980 to 1982 editions of the Manteno Invitational, which were put in yesterday.

One highlight from the 1984 season: The boys Frosh-Soph team won the Manteno Invitational that year with 71 points on the strength of a great pack. The 1984 Frosh-Soph team were also Conference champions that year, with 28 points!

Our home course changed from the 2.9 mile version that was run from 1978 to 1982 to a full 3.0 miles in 1983. Aside from girls races in the 1990s and early 2000s (when the courses were to be 2.1 or 2.5 miles for the girls races, per IHSA regulations of the time, or 2 miles for Frosh-Soph races, when applicable), the course has been 3.0 miles for the last thirty years, no matter what the layout was. That said, the 3.0 course that was introduced in 1983 is different than the current course layout.

A note on a few meets... There are some meets that have distances at 2.8 miles. These meets include the Benet Invitational from 1978 to 1986, and the 1984 and 1985 Conference meets. For the time being I have put them in as 2.85 miles, as there is no other option within .05 miles of the distance given. As a result, the times are going to be a little jumbled and won't exactly represent the actual distances. If I can figure out how to create a 2.8 mile distance, I will adjust the results accordingly in the future.

The same thing applies to meets that are listed as 2.4 miles; I have put them into the database as 2.45 miles until I can properly adjust them. (The biggest culprit in the 2.45 mile category is the Amboy Invitational which has had its Frosh-Soph race at 2.4 miles for years. The same can be said for the Kaneland Invitational).

And I've just noticed that over 5,000 results are in the database now. It's safe to say that I've been spending too much time on this the last few days, isn't it? Ah well.

Have a great evening!

Coach Dunne

7/27 Update:

I finished the 1979 season last night and started on the 1980s today. The 1980 season--with its school record 23 meets, a record that will never be broken due to current IHSA regulations--is now entirely in the database. The 1980 season also featured the first Westmont runner in school history to qualify to the IHSA State Finals -- a girl by the name of Barb Phelps, who finished 8th in the Argo District to qualify to the 1980 State Final. She finished 142nd at the State Meet, back when it was a single class. The Girls State Meet did not split into two classes until the 1989 season, and then to three classes in 2007. She ran against the likes of Downers Grove North (who won the 1980 title), Hinsdale Central, Deerfield, Palatine (Fremd) -- all schools who would be Class 3A today. How's that for a bit of obscure Westmont Cross Country history?

There's another two meet that I did not enter into the results. Both are dual meets in 1981. The first is against Immaculate Conception on September 10. In this case, though, the results are there but I've been wrestling with this particular meet, as it's listed as 2.75 miles. The closest I can put it in is as 2.85 miles, but I don't think it'd fit in quite right. On the low end, the closest is 2.5 miles and that's too short for the times as I flip through the 1981 yearbook. Until I figure out a way to get 2.75 mile races into the database accurately, I'm going to have to leave out this meet.

The other is a dual against Walther Lutheran (now Walther Christian), which took place on September 22. In this case, the problem of distances comes into play again, as the course in question is listed as 2.35 miles, and there is not an option for 2.35 miles, and the times look extremely quick for 2.35 miles, which makes me think it's actually shorter than that. But I digress. The varsity results for that dual (3 miles) against Walther Lutheran are in the database, though.

The Sentinel boys would go on to win the 1981 Conference championship by just three points. I gotta say though, it's so interesting to look at the All Time Best pages (Here's the top boys times, and the top girls times) with what I've put in so far as I write this, and to see the 2000s and 2010s times mixed in with times from the 1970s and early 1980s.

Is it clear enough now that I'm a stats nerd? Just asking. :)

Anyway, much more to come in the database. Hard to believe that we've got over 4,500 results in now. I'm thoroughly enjoying this project, and I hope you'll enjoy perusing the database when it is complete...and as we progress through the 2014 season.

Have a wonderful evening!

Coach Dunne

7/26 Update:

Today, I went back in the time machine and entered the 1977 and 1978 seasons. The 1978 season saw the boys' cross country team win the Conference title. I believe that 1978 conference championship was the first conference championship in any sport in school history, if I'm remembering correctly. I'll have to look in the gym on the sports boards that were donated by the Athletic Boosters about a year ago now. Anyway, as I write this right now (6:45 pm), I'm about to enter the 1979 Varsity results in. Hopefully before the night is out, I'll have the 1979 Frosh-Soph results in as well, so then all of the 1970s results will be complete.

There are four exceptions, though, two in 1978, and two more in 1979:

From 1978: I did not enter the Kankakee Eastridge and Minooka Flight Invitational results, as there were times but the runners that ran those times were not identified. They are just in the schedule, but don't have any results with it for this reason.

The third is the 1979 Plainfield Invitational, as there were no results in the packets I have for that year's invitational. This is the same reason for the September 13, 1979 dual versus Elmwood Park. It's on the schedule, but there's no results. It's possible that those meets may not have been run due to weather. Maybe when I get my hands on the binders, I'll be able to figure it out.

A note on the both the 1978 and 1979 seasons: There were two ladies that ran during each of those seasons. In 1978, I have them listed in the results as running "open" races (Girls Cross Country did not become an IHSA sanctioned sport with its own state series (in a single class) until the following season in 1979), but they ran as part of the Frosh-Soph races. They did sometimes score in the Frosh-Soph races, and accordingly, they're listed in the results with the places they finished in as part of the Frosh-Soph races. For 1979, I am listing them as part of whatever level they ran on.

A final note: As I was perusing the record books earlier this summer, the record books that were published in 1978 and 1979 indicate that the course was measured as 3.0 miles, but in the 1980, 1981, and 1982 yearbooks, it was measured as 2.9 miles. Additionally, in the 1989 yearbook, it was noted that the course from 1978 to 1982 was 2.9 miles and that times were converted from that distance. All home meet results between 1978 and 1982, therefore, are in the results as 2.9 miles. Every home meet from 1983 onwards is measured as 3.0 miles unless otherwise noted (from 1990 to 2001 when the courses were 2 and then 2.5 miles before the IHSA changed the girls races to 3.0 miles in 2002)

On to the 1980s tomorrow!

Coach Dunne

7/25 Update:

Summer running has just ended. We had a great turnout, and we're very excited to see what this season will bring. There's a ton of potential with this team! We will start practices on August 13. For more information, you can head on over to this page to read more information about that. Be sure to keep up with your running between now and August 13!!!

For now, though, I (Coach Dunne) am back on the results grind. My summer classes are at long last complete, so I've got plenty of downtime now. Just tonight, I entered 2000, 2001, and 2002's results into the database, bringing our total number of results in the database to 3,165 with 13 complete seasons in the database.

I've got a plan to get all of the results in as soon as possible, and I should even be done with it with about a week to spare before the season begins. My goal is to put in three packets a day until all the years are in. Again, as I've mentioned, I'm missing 1993, 1995, and 2007, but I should have those in my possession sometime next week. If all goes well, the entire history of Westmont Cross Country should be in our database no later than August 5th.

Here's the twist though, and it's a fun one: Now that I've gotten the 2000s and 2010s into the database, with the exception of 2007, I'm going to throw it all the way back to 1977 and start working from there. Look for 1977, 1978 and 1979 meet results (there's a TON of them!) to get into the database tomorrow. Then Sunday, I'll start the 1980s.

I'm having way too much fun with this, aren't I? :)

Have a wonderful evening!

Coach Dunne

7/24 Update:

First of all, apologies for not putting in any more results. The last couple of weeks have been prioritized towards getting the final tweaks of the website in order before we have the final review and publicly announce that we are using this website.

Summer running club ends tomorrow, so next week I'll have a lot of downtime to put a TON of results on here as my classes also end this week.

This website will be in great shape by the time August 13 rolls around!

Be sure to keep up with your running for the rest of the summer before practice starts...

Run Hard. Be Strong. Think Big.

Coach Dunne

7/6 Update:

Just a quick update to say that ten of the last eleven seasons of Westmont Cross Country are now in the database, with the exception as I've mentioned before, being 2007. According to the database stats in the lower left hand corner of our website, there's 2,585 results in the database! Wow!

Have a great day!

7/5 Update:

Hope you all had a great Fourth of July!

I've just put in 2005 and 2006's results. So the only results from the 2000s that are missing is 2007, and I'm sure I'll get my hands on those fairly soon.

Anyway, I wanted to add in a couple of disclaimers on the database:

  • Sometimes, the distances of the meets aren't available in the dropdown list I see in the admin control panel. For example, if you were to go to the All-Time Bests under "Team Info", and click on that, you'd see that Amboy has a 2.45 mile race. Their Frosh-Soph race is 2.4 miles, so I had to round off as best as I could. Another example is the Bureau Valley Storm Invitational, which is 3.02 miles. That's close enough to 3 miles that it's not that big of a deal. Still another example is Oakhurst Forest Preserve's course, which has been variably measured between 2.88 and 2.93 miles, so 2.9 miles works best, and it's what we've been using in the yearbooks anyway.

  • Another thing about the database is that sometimes you'll see individuals from the same race with the same places or times. This is because right now, the database doesn't identify what level that race was run at. So, you might see some varsity guys running in the 16:50s with higher places than the Frosh-Soph crew. I can identify the level in the admin control panel, but it won't show it on the database (yet).

  • Finally, when all the results are done, we'll go back through and sort through them (again) to create a Top 10 list of athletes at each course, as well as between meets. That'll be a nice record book to have going forward, where athletes can see how they stack up against the best of the Sentinel "Wolfpack" at a particular course as the season goes on (as well as through their careers).

Really looking forward to getting the rest of these results in so we'll truly have the entire history of Westmont Cross Country on here before the 2014-15 season starts on August 13.

Tomorrow I will probably put in 2003 and 2004's results and keep working backwards.

Run Hard, Be Strong, Think Big.

Coach Dunne

7/3 Update:

Big news! We'll be getting a new domain name soon! Stay tuned for that change. We will let you all know as soon as that becomes official. It'll be much easier than typing in "www.steepleweb.com/teams/westmont".

Anyway, regarding the results, here's what I've done regarding the dual meets:

After much tinkering, I've decided that the best way to go about organizing the dual meets in "relating" them to each other is by week, as I mentioned yesterday. We've been to the Plainfield Invitational every year since 1977. So, to make it easy, I used Plainfield as the end of Week 1, as that is our first major invitational of the season. The next dual meets after Plainfield are Week 2, then the following week is Week 3, and so on. There were a couple of years where we had duals into Week 8 -- one year (1977) went all the way to Week 9!

So, for example, if you were to go to this year's schedule and click on our second home meet of the season, on September 8, 2014, against ACC, IC, and Naz for the results. This is a Week 2 dual meet. Then, you can click on this nifty little checkbox that look likes this:

It would then show you every other dual meet that Westmont has run during Week 2. Every single one, from 1977 to 2013. That should make for some fun comparisons!

Since we are using the Plainfield Invitational as the end of Week 1, all dual meets before that are considered Week 1 duals. There are a couple of exceptions:

  • In two seasons (1977 and 1982), there was a dual meet run the week before the Plainfield Invitational. In 1977, the first dual was on September 2, a Friday, and Plainfield was on September 10, the following Saturday. In 1982, the first dual meet was also run on September 2, this time a Thursday, and Plainfield wasn't held until September 11. In only those two cases, the those dual meets are Week 1, and Plainfield ends up in Week 2.

  • Every year since 1997, Westmont and Timothy Christian have run against each other in the season opening dual meet --and with one exception (2001)-- it's always been at home. For this reason, I've dedicated a related meet series specifically to Westmont vs. Timothy Christian. Every season opening dual meet from 1997 to 2013 is included in this series. Since this dual meet has always been run during Week 1, there are no Week 1 dual meets in that series after 1996, as the Timothy Christian series begins in 1997 and has continued to this day.

A couple other notes on dual meets that I want to share:

  • There are no Week 6 dual meets after 2010. This is because in staring in 2011, we began running at the Ross Greiter Invitational. Since it is considered an invitational, it is in its own series in the database.

  • There will be some years where you see multiple dual meets from the same year in the same week, all between 1977 and 1987. Back then, it was common to run a Tuesday meet and a Thursday meet, regardless of whether or not you were competing in an invitational that weekend. If you can believe it, in 1977, 1979, and 1981, we ran two dual meets the week of districts! (Districts are basically today's regionals--the name changed from Districts to Regionals in the 1982-83 school year)

Hope this all makes sense, and I hope you enjoy it.

Again, I hope you all have a wonderful Fourth of July.

Run Hard, Be Strong, Think Big.

Coach Dunne

7/2 Update:

Man, that was a depressing loss to Belgium. So close, yet so far. Anyway, I want to apologize that I haven't done much with the site in the last week-ish. I've been taking a bunch of summer classes (I've got four online, and three are still going, plus one on campus. The only one that is on-campus just ended tonight.)

Anyway, I think I've settled on how to best organize the results in the database with regards to the dual meets. The best way to do it, I think, is to organize them by week. Therefore, the first dual meet of the season will equate to Week 1. So I've just set it up in the control panel for 9 weeks of dual meets -- yes, back in the '70s and early '80s we ran dual meets (sometimes two!) the week of Districts/Regionals!

The one exception to this is our traditional season-opening dual meet against Timothy Christian. Every year since 1997, Westmont and Timothy Christian have dueled in the season-opening dual. (See what I did there? I'm so punny...okay, I'll stop now). But for the rest of dual meets, every meet will be categorized into a week. Week 1 is generally in the range of August 28 to September 3. Some years may be later, because the IHSA standardized calendar was a week later until I think the mid-1980s. Some years the State meet was run after Veteran's Day--the last time that happened I think was in 1983.

Regardless of when the IHSA standardized calendar was, week one is still week one, so whenever the first dual meet of the season was run, that's when the database will consider it week one. Hope that makes sense.

When all results are inputted, then every week 1 meet will be "related" to each other, as will weeks, 2, 3, 4, and so on. A quick look at schedules tells me that since 1982, we haven't run any dual meets the week of Conference or Regionals.

All of that said, I hope that everybody has a wonderful, safe Fourth of July... Kids: Be sure to keep up with your summer running over the holiday!

6/24 Update:

Today, I talked with Coach Wolf and we've got some ideas on how we can possibly tweak the database further. So, before I put in any results from before 2008, I'm going to play around with what's already in the database and see how we can make these "related meets" work best, mainly for home meets.

This means for now, until that's worked out, I'm holding off on posting results from 1977 to 2007, so that when I do enter them, then when I enter them, the entire results database and the "related" meets all work out and I don't have to spend any extra time after that trying to make sure they all match up.

That said, though, we can't wait to get this website out to everyone. It's going to be fantastic, and it's going to be the home of Westmont Cross Country. We are also going to get some Junior High stuff on here as well after I was talking with Coach Farthing today.

There will be a separate listing for junior high meets, and each junior high meet (when we get the schedule) will all have their own page just like the high school meets, except they will be listed under "events" for each season to differentiate between the two schools. Coach Farthing will be able to post all of his documents and links under each meet page, just as we will for each high school meet.

This website has so much potential. It's going to be awesome. I can't wait to see how this plays out.

Anyway, I'll continue to keep you updated with new tweaks to the database as I try and figure out how best to set it up.

6/22 Update:

Man, what a depressing draw that was between USA and Portugal in the World Cup this evening, wasn't it? USA should've had those three points. Literally ten seconds before advancing to the knockout round, and a stupid turnover ends up in the back of the net. Sounds a lot like Brent Seabrook on the Blackhawks, doesn't it?

Anyway, enough of other sports on this website. Just wanted to update this saying that I'm 99.99% sure that the rosters (along with every athlete's grades in each year) are complete for all the years I have in my possession. That is to say, the only rosters that are incomplete are 1993, 1995, and 2007. Every other roster is official. All individuals who were on the state meet team that year (1993 girls, 1995 and 2007 boys) are on those rosters on here, as I was able to use the personal yearbooks that I have at my disposal to get those names. And of course, the 2014 roster isn't official until the first meet has been run, which is on September 2 at home this year. So there's awhile yet before the 2014 roster becomes official.

Additionally, the results from the 2009 cross country season are now in the database. That brings it up to six years -- 2008 to 2013 -- that are in the database. My little project is coming along quite nicely. Oh, and I've got all the big invitationals that Westmont has gone to in our program history set up so that in the results, they're all "related" to each other. So let's say when I put in the Minooka Flight Invitational that we ran in 1977, 1978, and 1979 (incidentially, that invitational is still around today), you'll be able to click on a nifty little checkbox that says this to the left of it in the database:

"Show Results from Other Years of The (choose years above):"

Then, when you do that, you can search from 1977 to 1979, and it'll show you every athlete's time from 1977 to 1979 at that Minooka Invitational. I've already got it set up so that every District/Regional meet is related to each other from 1977 to 2013, and the same goes for Sectional and State. It's going to be quite fun.

You'll also be able to do the same thing for certain courses. For example, when I'm done, you'll be able to see every Westmont athlete's result from every home meet that has ever been run on our course from 1977 to 2013 in its various distances (Even I didn't know it was 2.9 miles from 1978-82!). That's something I'm very excited to see how that stacks up over 37 years of cross country seasons, personally.

Anyway, I've rambled enough. So, what's next? Well, I'm going to start with 1977 and take my time entering these results. There's a ton of them, but I can't wait to see how this turns out, and then you all can play with the database with literally the entire history of Westmont Cross Country at your fingertips. I'm so excited!

Anyway, signing off for now...

6/21 Update:

Yesterday, I put together all-time rosters for the boys and girls teams dating back to 1977. If you look under the history section, you'll see two All-Time Rosters -- one each for the boys and the girls at the bottom of the dropdown. Click on either link, and you'll be taken to a Google Doc that lists every runner that has run for Westmont in our program's history in alphabetical order, along with the seasons they ran cross country.

As for the season results, of right now, I have the following yearbooks in my possession: 1977-1992, 1994, 1996-2006, 2008-2013. Therefore, I am missing 1993, 1995, and 2007. I have just finished putting all the meet schedules into the database for all of those yearbooks. The next step is to edit the athletes to make sure they all appear correctly on the rosters, and then entering results will begin. I'll probably work backwards from 2009 (which is yet to be entered). Then we'll go from there. Hopefully, I'll be able to have most of the 2000s be entered into the database not much later than the Fourth of July.

Okay, I'm now off to watch Germany-Ghana in the World Cup. Have a great afternoon, everybody.
